This free community event brings together classic car enthusiasts\, local residents\, and supporters for an evening of fun\, entertainment\, and philanthropy all benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association.Cruise for a Cause holds a special meaning for the Glenwood Place team and residents.”Supporting the Alzheimer’s Association is something near and dear to our hearts here at Glenwood Place Senior Living\,” said Brooke Davis\, Sales Coordinator and event organizer. “We see the effects of dementia every day. We want to do our part in helping fight against this disease while providing a fun night for the community to come together and enjoy.”The event is free and open to the public. There are no registration fees\, and all classic vehicles are welcome to participate.Funds for the Alzheimer’s Association are raised through freewill donations in exchange for a classic summertime meal featuring hot dogs\, cold drinks\, and popcorn provided by Glenwood Place. Cash check\, or digital payment is available at the event. Checks can be made out directly to Alzheimer’s Association. Guests will also enjoy live entertainment from local rock band JJ Ace\, creating a lively atmosphere for families and car enthusiasts alike.Over the past eight years\, Cruise for a Cause has raised an impressive $22\,269 for the Alzheimer’s Association. Additional funds have been contributed through golf outings\, art shows\, and other community events hosted by Glenwood Place\, but Cruise for a Cause remains one of the organization’s most beloved annual traditions.”The community shows up year after year\, and we are always overwhelmed with gratitude\,” Davis said. “This car show has become such a hit\, and we are proud of the impact we’ve been able to make together.”A highlight of the evening is the presentation of the Best in Show Resident Choice Award\, which is chosen by the current reigning King and Queen.
