Lazy Try-Athlon

The Marshalltown Central Business District is excited to announce the first-ever Lazy Try-Athlon on Friday, August 23, 2024. It’s going to be a fun-filled day of activities and challenges for a seasoned athlete or someone ready to try something new. From shooting to bowling to golfing, there’s something for everyone to enjoy! Proceeds from the fundraiser will be used to support the development and beautification of our historic downtown. We are excited to bring a unique, new fundraising event to our community while promoting local businesses, enjoying the outdoors, and maybe even discovering new hidden talents.Quote from Nate McCormick, a member of the planning team. “No matter what your skill level in our three non-traditional triathlon sports, you are sure to have a good time meeting new people, supporting our great MCBD organization, and competing to be crowned our Try-Athalon champion with no running, swimming or biking required.”Tickets are now available for $250 per team of two players. The event will start at 11am with trap shooting, followed by bowling at Wayward Social, and end at the American Legion for 9 holes of golf. To register a team, pay online here.
